Not-E3 2023: Your complete guide to June's game showcase schedule

Updated: Jun 6, 2023

It's time. E3 is dead. Long live E3. The 2023 edition of the Summer Gaming Mess is here and VGG is ready to cover it all for you once again.

With a week's worth of streams, a handful of our classic Not-E3 mini-previews, and conference breakdowns/recaps on our YouTube, VGG can serve as your one-stop shop for all things Not-E3.

A broken down E3 logo with an exposed metal frame sits in the middle of the image. The Video Games are Good logo, with a hand giving a thumbs up making up the V, is sweeping up some of the debris from the logo. It reads: "The Not E3 Summer Gaming Mess"

What's on the docket for Not-E3 2023?

For starters, every single major conference or presentation being held by indies, publishers, or our best friend Geoff Keighley will be streamed over on our Twitch. We'll provide hype live reactions, silly jokes, a fun and cozy chat to hang out with, and in-depth recaps that come with information not found in the presentations themselves.

This year, you'll get editor in chief Nate, deputy editor Julie, and guest streamer Fishpaste for most of the fun — but beyond that, we can't tell you what to expect. Keighley puts on a good show, Devolver keeps changing the landscape of digital gaming presentations, and indies constantly blow our minds. Apart from that, we're all just along for the ride.

Below, you'll find a full schedule of the events and showcases we'll be livestreaming from June 7 to June 12. If you want to keep up with us any time we go live, follow us on Twitch and you'll be notified every time we hit go on these streams.

VGG's Not-E3 2023 Wrap-up Thoughts

But streams aren't all we do here at VGG to cover the amazing announcements that come out of this wild week of gaming. During and after all these presentations, you can expect tons of written coverage, previews of a variety of indie games that might get lost in the shuffle, and a steady stream of VGG game reviews. We're opening our preview series this year with a look at a couple of Freedom Games-published farming sims, so you've got something to hop right into.

And if you aren't able to catch any of our streams, we'll be uploading our live reactions and recap/breakdown segments from each stream to YouTube! Subscribe over there to make sure you don't miss a single thing!

Phew. That's a lot. Like a lot a lot. We hope you'll be with us through it all this week because we love sharing in the live moments of new announcements with our community, and this time of year is one of our favorites.

Share all about it with pals and spread the VGG love, because, as you know... Video Games Are Good.

This looks great. Thank you for putting this series together, which is a needed public service. It's too bad that E3 is gone, but at least the publishers are still producing events.
